Coward – Noel Coward Collected Plays – One: Volume One contains in the plays with which Noel Coward ‘arrived’ on the theatrical scene in the 1920’s: Hay Fever, a comedy of bad manners and one of the best-loved of all Coward’s plays; his two other hits of 1925, The Vortex, described as ‘un peu shoking’, and Fallen Angels, ‘amoral and disgusting’; together with Easy Virtue, an elegant, laconic tribute to a lost world of drawing-room dramas. The volume is introduced by Sheridan Morley, Coward’s first biographer. This special edition was published to mark the centenary of Noel Coward’s birth.
